GolfNorth Properties is proud to announce the addition of Kananaskis Ranch Golf Course, formerly Brewster’s Kananaskis Ranch Golf Course, in Kananaskis County, Alberta, to the GolfNorth portfolio. This remarkable acquisition further expands the company’s growing presence in Western Canada and reinforces its commitment to offering unforgettable public golf experiences across the country.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Alberta Rocky Mountains, Kananaskis Ranch Golf Course offers a truly immersive golf experience rooted in a family legacy spanning over a century. A course originally conceived by the dream of 4th-generation cowboy and entrepreneur Bud Brewster, we are grateful to the Brewster family for their stewardship of this exceptional property and for their collaboration in making this addition a reality. In partnership with Janet Brewster, we are committed to honouring this rich heritage while continuing the family tradition of inviting guests here to slow down, reconnect with nature, and experience golf in its purest form.
The course is an 18-hole, Par 72 layout stretching along the north bank of the Bow River, at the base of Yamnuska Mountain. This property was designed to complement the beauty of the land, winding through tree-lined fairways and natural terrain.
